Lucas went on his first vacation over the Memorial Day weekend. We went to Virginia with the Glover family for a reunion. Everybody got to go this year except Anita and Nancy! We had a good time and Lucas started really crawling on this trip. He went from the Army crawl to full blown crawling. He loved his cousins and crawling around the cabin like he owned the place. Saturday was the reunion. There was lots of food and of course the required stop for ice cream afterwards. Here are a few pics from the journey....

Lucas with Aunt Angie while we stopped for his late night
feeding at the gas station.

Playing ball with Dad at the reunion.

This is where we bathed him after a hard day
of playing.

I just love this pic!

He found the air vent and went straight to it.
I am not sure where this fascination comes
but he does it at home too.

I have been told I am a horrible blogger so I am going to try to catch up. Lucas is doing all kinds of new things lately and we took our first long vacation. On May 26, 2009, Lucas shocked me by pulling himself up on the couch. Michael said he did it the day before but I did not believe him. So technically this is the second time he did this!

I can do this.....
almost there....
whew i made it....
look at me Mommy!!!!
I knew we were going to the beach in a few weeks so I wanted to see how Lucas would do in cold water instead of the bath tub that he loves so much. I bought this cheap pool at Wal-Mart to give it a shot! As you can see he loves it!

He is thinking "Hey you are not supposed to take a bath outside!"

He splashed just like he has done it a million times.
The he saw something more interesting than water.....
Grass! The pool was full of it by the time we got him out. He is such a boy. He loves to play in the dirt and grass. Just like his daddy!

So a few days ago we decided it was time to babyproof! Lucas isn't exactly crawling, but he is scooting everywhere! He loves cords, remotes, and now the deer family on the BRICK fireplace. So this weekend it is off to the store to buy a cover for the edge of the fireplace. It is so fun to watch him drag himself across the floor to get to something he wants. He is the happiest most easygoing baby and we are loving everyday with him.

Bama Baseball!

This weekend we took Lucas to watch Alabama play Ole Miss. It was very hot but he enjoyed every second of it. We enjoyed spending time with Erin and Allen. Here are some pics of the day:

This is Allen's brother Jake. He started off the scoring drive that led to the win! Good luck with everything Jake!

Lucas is learning how to use a sippy cup....umm maybe he will get the hang of it one day.

Yummy! Erin fed Lucas some strawberry frozen lemonade. It was a nice treat for such a hot day.

This is where Lucas was most of the day. Erin is going to be a great mommy one day! She was a trooper as he slobbered, spit up, and rubbed baby food all over her.
